Colin Farrell fought hard to have his version of The Penguin smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful
Narrative
Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, makes a move to take over the criminal underworld in Gotham. Except for the Bat-Signal in the final scene of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo as “The Penguin.” In this short video, IMDb attempts to answer: Where the hell was Batman? For his own series, however, the character is portrayed as an occasional tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.

Colin Farrell did for the Penguin what Heath Ledger did for the Joker

This will go down in history in the same way Heath Ledger’s Joker changed that character
I wouldn’t have thought of this for this role, but Colin Farrell just delivered the performance of his career with an incredible portrayal of the Penguin. If he doesn’t win Best Actor at the Golden Globes, SAG awards and everywhere else, there is no appreciation for how the producers, writers and incredible makeup team helped Colin Turin deliver this incredible performance that will be a hallmark of his career and the defining role of the Penguin for the next 3 generations.
